Rise & Shine Smoothie

Mornings are the worst. I get cranky, hungry and  lack energy and motivation. I usually wake up late and don’t have time to sit and eat a well balanced breakfast. Smoothies are my savior. 

This smoothie is packed with protein, antioxidants, and many vitamins and minerals. Grab a blender and get going for the day!


| RECIPE |

1 cup of raspberries
1 banana
1/4 cup of spinach
1 Tbsp. of almond butter
1/2 lemon (squeezed)
3/4 cup of ice water

Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.

Raspberries: Full of vitamins and fiber. They have antioxidant and anti-imflamitory factors. Plus they’re nice and sweet!
Bananas: Potassium: the first thing I think of when I hear banana. Potassium helps your muscle contract and they maintain blood pressure. Without potassium your heart wouldn’t beat and pump all the blood around your body.
Spinach: Full of antioxidants, potassium, Vitamin A, iron and folate. Great for your skin and hair!
Almond butter: Protein!
Lemon: Natural diuretic.
Spinach, almonds, lemon & water are all great ingredients to boost your metabolism. Starting your day with this fills you up with energy and also gets your body working right.
