Breakfast Bowls

There are a few important questions I have when deciding what I want for breakfast: hot or cold? salty or sweet? quick and easy or take my time? There are a million options for breakfast, but most days I just throw a bunch of things in a bowl and get started with my day. 

I have compiled a list of my favorite things to put in my breakfast bowls, but this list has endless options. Have fun with it and use what you have. You're the one eating it, so fill it with things you love. 

These are a few of my favorite things.

FRUIT:
Pomegranate
Banana
Raspberry
Blueberry
Strawberry
Blackberry
Apple
Mango
Dried Coconut
Dried Cranberries

CRUNCHY THINGS:
Sliced Almonds
Brazil Nuts (just 1 or 2 chopped)*
Pumpkin Seeds
Granola

SOMETHING SWEET:
Honey
Dark Chocolate
Maple Syrup
Cinnamon** 

BUILDING A BASE:
Steel Cut Oats
Rolled Oats
Plain Greek Yogurt

Again, these are just my favorite breakfast bowl toppings but you can use whatever you want.

*Brazil nuts are high in selenium, which is great for thyroid health (1 brazil nut = daily recommended intake of selenium)!
**Cinnamon is a natural blood sugar stabilizer, so it is great to sprinkle on top of any bowl!
