Banana French Toast

My roommates always ask me to cook for them. I'm not a morning person to begin with so when they ask for breakfast my only request is they make the coffee. I'd say coffee for food is a pretty good deal!
This banana french toast is a crowd favorite at my house. There is conveniently always bananas just ripe on the weekends when my roommates ask for it. There are very few ingredients and its so quick that its usually ready by the time the coffee is brewed!!!

3 slices of bread
Cut half of the banana in slices and put the other half aside. In a pan, melt a little butter on medium heat and put the banana wheels down. Let them caramelize on each side. Take off the heat and set aside. In a bowl, mash the other half of the banana. Add the egg, cinnamon, milk and mix. I eyeball the milk - about 1/4 cup. Turn your pan back on medium heat and start dipping your bread in the mixture until it is coated on both sides. Put all slices on the pan and cook on both side until brown. Plate the toast and top with the cartelized bananas and maple syrup. You can warm the maple syrup for a nice touch!
